Cost of AC Gas Filling in Hyderabad (2026 Update)

Getting your AC gas refilled is a common requirement in Hyderabad, but many customers are unsure about the exact pricing. Prices vary significantly depending on the type of refrigerant gas your AC uses and the amount of gas lost.
1. Types of AC Refrigerant Gas
Before checking the prices, you must know which gas your AC uses. This is usually printed on a sticker on the outdoor unit:
- R22 (Freon): Found in older ACs (pre-2015). It is being phased out globally and is getting expensive.
- R32: The most common gas in modern inverter ACs. Highly efficient and eco-friendly.
- R410A: Common in non-inverter and some inverter models built between 2015-2020.
2. AC Gas Filling Costs in Hyderabad (2026)
Here are the standard market rates for a Full Gas Charge (when the system is completely empty):

3. What About "Gas Top-Ups"?
If your AC is only slightly low on gas, you might only need a top-up rather than a full refill. Top-ups generally cost between ₹1,200 to ₹1,800 depending on how much gas is needed to reach the optimal pressure (usually 120-150 PSI for R32).
Expert Warning: Never let a technician fill gas without fixing the leak first. ACs operate on a closed-loop system. If the gas is low, there is a leak (usually at the copper pipe flare joints). Filling gas without fixing the leak means you'll have to pay for gas again in a few months!
